Kateryna Angelone (Mamaroneck) and Vard Margayam (Hartsdale) are the Fred Astaire Rising Stars in Rhythm and were invited to help close out the regional Fred Astaire Newcomers Competition in Tarrytown, NY Sunday June 11, 2011. Kat and Vard and four other profession teams inspired everyone with their verve, skill and enthusiasm for dance!

Students and instructors alike from the FADS Mamaroneck had already done the studio proud as they waltzed, tangoed, rumbad (what is the past tense of the verb to rumba anyway?), salsa-ed, cha cha cha-ed and swung throughout the day.
