Stanley Mc Calla
A coach, adjudicator and dance champion, Stanley Mc Calla has over 19 years of teaching and experience coaching of professionals in the USA. He, along with his wife Jennifer have been responsible for developing some of the best University dance teams in the North East, including the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), New York University ballroom and Columbia University teams.
Stanley is experienced in helping competitive dancers improve their technique in International Latin, Standard, American Smooth and Rhythm dances, and loves to improving students’ skills whether they are beginners or have been dancing for a while.
Adjudication & Achievements:
Stanley is currently a Fred Astaire National Adjudicator as well as for the United States National Championships.
He also has many titles to his credit including:
- Four times undefeated United States Amateur Latin, Standard and Ten Dances Champion,
- A United States representative at four World championships.
- Fred Astaire National Smooth Champion undefeated ’95 to ’97
Kateryna Angelone
Kateryna started dancing in her native Ukraine, and before she left for the USA, was the winner of the Youth Division in the Ukrainian Nationals and semifinalist of many international competitions. She graduated from the Ukrainian Dance Academy.
Achievements in the US:
In 2001 she came to the USA to pursue her love of dance. Since then she has won many titles including the Fred Astaire Rising Star American Rhythm Champion in 2010 & 2011.
In 2010 she was the New Jersey State Open Champion, winner of the Northeastern Open Dancesport Invitational Championships, and winner of the 2011 Tri-State Challenge.
Kateryna loves teaching and believes it is important to find innovative ways to present material to keep every student involved and interested.
Her motto is “dance and be happy.”
